The study aimed to uncover the role of student activities at Sultan Qaboos University in developing leadership skills of its students from the students' point of view. The study used the descriptive approach, and to achieve the goal of the study, a questionnaire was prepared consisting of (53) items distributed into six leadership skills, which are: the ability to assume responsibility, the ability to make decisions, the ability to solve problems, the ability to manage time, the ability to social interaction, The ability to negotiate), and the study tool was applied after verifying its validity and its stability value for Kronbach-alpha, which amounted to (0.922) at the level of the tool as a whole. As for the study sample, it amounted to (130) male and female students distributed as follows: according to type to (63) students, and (67) female students, and according to the faculty to (40) students from humanities colleges, including colleges (education, arts and social sciences, law, economics and political science) and (90) students from scientific colleges, including colleges (medicine, engineering, sciences, agriculture and marine sciences), Nursing). The arithmetic averages and standard deviations of the responses of the study sample were extracted, as well as the T-test to calculate the significance of the differences. The results of the study showed that the degree of approval was "significant" on all the questionnaire axes, with a mean (3.92) and a standard deviation (0.841), which indicates that university student activities have a major role in developing leadership skills among students participating in the activities, and the study found the existence of similar differences. Statistical significance at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the responses of the study sample individuals attributable to the gender variable in favor of males on the overall performance, and the absence of statistically significant differences attributed to the college variable, and the study reached a set of proposed measures to activate the role of student activities in developing leadership skills at the University Sultan Qaboos, the most important of which is the participation of students in planning and managing activities, and the inclusion of the university's strategic plan a complete area of student activities.
