The aim of the current research was to investigate the effect of using learning contract strategy in the teaching of statistics on developing statistical thinking skills and reduce the statistical Anxiety. The research depended on the quasi-experimental method (pre- post). The sample of the research was (40) students from the master's program at the Faculty of Education and Arts University of. To achieve the aim of the research, the instruments were build include: a guide of learning contract strategy in Teaching Educational Statistics, and the test of statistical thinking skills included (40) items (data collection, describe and organize data, data analysis, and interpretation of data), also statistical anxiety scale are from (30) items in six components, and measured the validity and reliability. It has also been applied tools, and data collection and processing using SPSS 16.0. the most important search results are statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the mean scores of the two groups experimental and control in the post application of the statistical thinking skills test, and statistical anxiety scale and its components for the experimental group students, as well as the positive correlation between the degree of the experimental group students on the anxiety scale and statistical thinking. The recommendations showed that the important of the applying contracts of learning strategies in the teaching, and the planning of developing statistical thinking skills and reducing the degree of statistical Anxiety.
