The study aims to identify the degree of practice of the teaching staff at Tabuk University for academic supervision tasks. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive method was used and a questionnaire was developed from (29) The results showed that the degree of practicing faculty members for the tasks of academic and technical supervision on research and master's thesis came to a medium degree, and the results showed that the degree of obstacles to the exercise of supervisory duties The results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05) in the response of the study members on all dimensions of the tool according to the variables (gender: males, females, type of program: research project, message). In light of the results, the study recommended the preparation of a manual for the department, which includes the duties of the academic supervisor, and the need to hold periodic meetings to discuss any obstacles related to the issue of academic supervision and work to solve it in a participatory manner that combines the student and the supervisor and the administration of the college.
